Mineral processing lab is fully-equipped with Jaw Crushers, Agate Grinder, Disc Mill, Mortar Grinder, Sieve Shakers, Different-sized Sieves, Pure Water and Ultrapure Water Equipment, Ultrasonic Bath, Air Pump, Drying Oven, Fume Hood, Polarizing Research Microscopes, Binocular Microscope, Camera System, Equipments for thin and polished section preparation, Hot Table, Magnetic Stirrer.
Sample preparation processes in the research center are being maintained smoothly.
Chemical Processing Laboratory
In the laboratory, the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) and the UV-GB Spectrophotometer are used to conduct spectroscopic analyses subsequent chemical processes of ore samples. In addition to these, the high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and the gas chromatography (GC-MS) instruments are actively serving to perform chromatographic analyses. The solubilization of the samples is performed by a temperature and pressure controlled micro-wave shredder unit. Thermogravimetric analyses of prepared specimens are carried out with the TGA/DTA instrument in the center. Also, the FT-IR instrument serves for functional group analysis.

Material Characterization Laboratory
Material characterization lab is fully equipped with HıTACHı Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), EDX and X-Ray Difractometer (XRD). The SEM – Scanning Electron Microscope, which has a magnification capacity of 600,000, is an analysis and characterization device that helps us to display substances at micron and nano-levels. The EDX that works with the SEM is a device that allows us to perform elemental analyses on the displayed surface.
